Åse Ervik has experience from working in projects related to Arctic technology in both the industry and academia. She has two years experience from the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS). Currently she hold a position as a PhD candidate, researching loads from ice ridges on fixed structures, in the center of Sustainable Arctic Marine and Coastal Technology (SAMCoT) at NTNU. She is working both with numerical modelling as well as mechanical testing of ice conducted during several field works. A MSc in mechanical engineering from NTNU/UNIS.
